Car Rental Security Deposit in Qatar: Holds, Refunds and What to Check
When you rent a car with Infinity Rent a Car, we hold a refundable security deposit for the rental period. This guide explains how much it is, how it works and when you get it back.
How much is the deposit?
The deposit depends on the size of the car, and it is shown on every car page before you book:

How is the deposit taken?
We accept any payment method for the deposit, including cash. It is a hold, not a charge for the rental itself. If you pay by card, the card must belong to the renter, or the card holder must be present or added to the contract so we can take their signature.
What can be deducted from the deposit?
- Traffic fines recorded during your rental.
- Damage not covered by your protection, up to the excess of your cover.
- Missing fuel compared with the level at pickup.
- Extra rental days if the car is returned late without an extension.

When do I get the deposit back?
We release the deposit after the car is returned and checked. How quickly the amount appears back on your card depends on your bank.
Tips to get your full deposit back
- Walk around the car with our team at pickup and note any existing marks.
- Return the car with the same fuel level.
- Drive on paved roads only; desert and dune driving is not allowed.
- Return on time, or contact us before your return time to extend.
