These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings and vehicle rental services provided by Infinity Rent A Car in the State of Qatar.
By making a reservation through our website, directly with our team, or through an approved booking partner, the customer agrees to these Terms and to the specific conditions stated in the booking confirmation and rental agreement.
Where a rental-specific condition such as the rental rate, security deposit, insurance excess, mileage allowance or additional charge is stated in the booking confirmation or signed rental agreement, that specific condition will apply to that rental.
1. Reservations and Vehicle Availability
All reservations are subject to vehicle availability, verification of customer information and satisfaction of the applicable rental requirements.
Reservations are normally confirmed for a vehicle category, not a guaranteed specific make, model, colour or specification unless expressly confirmed in writing.
If the reserved vehicle is unavailable, Infinity Rent A Car may provide a similar or higher-category vehicle where reasonably possible.
2. Rental Rates and Payment
Rental prices are quoted in Qatari Riyals (QAR) unless clearly stated otherwise.
The applicable rental rate, included mileage, insurance coverage, security deposit and any additional services will be shown in the booking confirmation, rental agreement or applicable offer.
Additional charges may apply for optional services, additional drivers, delivery or collection, excess mileage, fuel, damages, traffic violations, late return, special cleaning or other chargeable services agreed or incurred during the rental.
Bookings made through third-party platforms may also be subject to the payment, cancellation and refund conditions of that platform.
3. Driver Requirements
The renter and every authorized additional driver must:
- Meet the applicable minimum-age requirement for the selected vehicle category.
- Hold a valid driving licence acceptable for driving in Qatar.
- Provide valid identification and any other documentation reasonably required for the rental.
- Meet any additional licence, International Driving Permit, residency, visa or insurance requirements applicable to the customer's circumstances.
Infinity Rent A Car may refuse to release a vehicle where the required documents are invalid, expired, inconsistent or otherwise insufficient to legally operate the vehicle in Qatar.
Driving licence rules
- Minimum age 21. Every driver's licence (including Qatari licences) must have been held for at least one (1) year; licences held for less than one year are not accepted.
- Visitors and tourists: a valid home-country driving licence may be used for up to seven (7) days from the date of arrival in Qatar, with a valid visit visa, in line with official government guidance (Hukoomi / Ministry of Interior).
- After seven (7) days, or where the licence is not in English/Latin characters, an International Driving Permit (IDP) must be presented together with the original national licence.
- GCC citizens may drive with their valid GCC licence; expatriate residents of other GCC countries may use their GCC-issued licence for up to three (3) months.
- Work-visa holders and Qatar residents must hold a valid Qatari driving licence.
- At vehicle collection, the original, valid physical licence bearing the driver's photograph must be presented, together with a passport (visitors) or Qatar ID (residents). Digital copies are accepted for booking purposes only.
- If the required original documents are not presented at collection, the vehicle will not be released and the booking will be cancelled without refund.
Only drivers specifically authorized under the rental agreement may drive the vehicle.
4. Security Deposit / Pre-Authorization
A security deposit or credit-card pre-authorization may be required depending on the vehicle category, booking channel, insurance option and customer profile.
The applicable amount will be communicated during the booking process or at vehicle collection.
The deposit or pre-authorization may be used, where permitted, against outstanding rental charges, vehicle damage, traffic violations, excess mileage, fuel, cleaning, late-return charges or other amounts payable under the rental agreement.
Once Infinity Rent A Car has completed the applicable rental and post-rental checks, any releasable pre-authorization will be released from our side. The time required for the amount to become available to the customer after release depends on the customer's issuing bank and payment method and is outside Infinity Rent A Car's direct control.
Any applicable refund method and processing period will be communicated to the customer according to the payment method used.
5. Rental Period, Return and Extensions
The vehicle must be returned on the date, time and location stated in the rental agreement unless an extension has been approved by Infinity Rent A Car.
A request to extend the rental is not approved until confirmed by Infinity Rent A Car and any required payment has been completed.
Unauthorized late return may result in additional rental charges and other reasonable costs incurred as a result of the delay.
Failure to return the vehicle as agreed may result in recovery action and notification to the appropriate authorities where applicable.
6. Mileage and Fuel
The mileage allowance applicable to the rental will be stated in the booking confirmation or rental agreement.
Mileage exceeding the agreed allowance may be charged at the applicable excess-kilometre rate.
The vehicle must be returned with the fuel level required under the rental agreement. Where additional fuel is required, the customer may be charged for the missing fuel and any applicable refuelling service charge.
7. Permitted and Prohibited Use
The vehicle must be used responsibly and in accordance with Qatar law and the rental agreement.
Unless expressly authorized in writing, the vehicle must not be:
- Driven by an unauthorized driver.
- Used for racing, speed testing, drifting or motorsport.
- Used for towing or pushing another vehicle.
- Sub-rented or used for unauthorized commercial activity.
- Driven off-road, in desert areas or on terrain unsuitable for normal road vehicles.
- Driven into deep water, flooded roads or other conditions where continued driving could reasonably cause damage.
- Taken outside the State of Qatar without prior written authorization and the required documentation and insurance.
- Used to transport illegal or prohibited goods.
- Driven while the driver is impaired by alcohol, drugs or any substance affecting safe driving.
Smoking is prohibited inside Infinity Rent A Car vehicles. Where smoking causes odour, burns, stains or requires specialized cleaning, the renter may be charged the reasonable cost of cleaning or repair.
8. Vehicle Condition, Damage and Cleaning
The customer should inspect the vehicle at handover and report any existing damage not already recorded.
The customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the vehicle throughout the rental.
New damage, excessive interior damage, missing items, lost keys, tyre or wheel damage caused by misuse, smoking-related damage or extraordinary cleaning may be charged according to the rental agreement and supporting assessment.
Normal wear and tear will not be treated as customer damage.
9. Accidents, Breakdown and Insurance
In the event of an accident, damage, theft or significant mechanical issue, the customer must contact Infinity Rent A Car as soon as reasonably possible and follow our instructions.
Where required under Qatar law or the insurance policy, the customer must obtain the appropriate police or official accident report.
The customer must not admit liability, abandon the vehicle or arrange unauthorized repairs without approval except where necessary to protect immediate safety.
Insurance coverage and the customer's applicable excess depend on the insurance option and vehicle category selected and will be stated in the booking confirmation or rental agreement.
Insurance protection may be restricted or invalidated where loss or damage results from prohibited use, unauthorized driving, off-road/desert use, deliberate misuse, driving while impaired, failure to report an accident properly or other exclusions contained in the applicable insurance or rental conditions.
10. Traffic Violations and Government Charges
The renter remains responsible for traffic violations, parking violations, penalties, tolls and other government charges arising from use of the vehicle during the rental period.
Where a violation is received after the vehicle has been returned, Infinity Rent A Car may charge the renter the amount due together with any applicable reasonable administrative fee stated in the rental agreement.
Customer information may be provided to the relevant government or enforcement authority where required by law.
11. Delivery, Collection and Airport Service
Where vehicle delivery, collection or airport transfer services are booked, the customer must provide accurate contact, flight and location information.
Delivery and collection times may be affected by traffic, flight changes, security procedures and circumstances outside Infinity Rent A Car's reasonable control.
The exact handover or transfer procedure will be communicated as part of the booking.
12. Cancellation and No-Show
Cancellation, amendment and no-show conditions may vary according to the selected rate, rental period, promotional offer and booking channel.
The applicable conditions will be displayed or communicated before confirmation.
For reservations made through a third-party broker, travel agent or booking platform, cancellation and prepaid-payment rules may also be governed by that partner's terms.
13. Customer Responsibilities
The renter is responsible for:
- Keeping the vehicle reasonably secure.
- Keeping the vehicle keys and documents safe.
- Checking warning lights and immediately reporting significant mechanical warnings.
- Using the correct fuel.
- Informing Infinity Rent A Car promptly of an accident, breakdown or vehicle issue.
- Paying amounts validly due under the rental agreement.
- Ensuring only authorized drivers operate the vehicle.
14. Breakdown and Replacement Vehicle
Where a vehicle develops a mechanical problem not caused by misuse, Infinity Rent A Car will provide reasonable assistance and, where appropriate and subject to availability, may provide a replacement vehicle.
A replacement vehicle may not be identical to the original vehicle but will normally be of a reasonably comparable category where available.
15. Personal Information
Personal information provided in connection with a booking or rental will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws of the State of Qatar.
Information may be shared where necessary with insurers, payment providers, booking partners, traffic authorities, government authorities or service providers for legitimate rental, payment, claims, compliance or legal purposes.
16. Liability and Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of the State of Qatar.
Infinity Rent A Car is not responsible for indirect losses resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control, except where liability cannot legally be limited.
Customers remain entitled to the protections provided by applicable Qatar consumer-protection legislation.
17. Changes to These Terms
Infinity Rent A Car may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in its services, business processes or legal requirements.
The version applicable to a booking will be the version made available to the customer at the relevant time, together with the specific terms shown in the booking confirmation and rental agreement.
18. Governing Law
These Terms and any rental entered into in Qatar are governed by the applicable laws of the State of Qatar.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts and authorities of the State of Qatar, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights.
